THE DRYING INK The drying ink upon my page does weep, Unveiling all the secrets I cannot speak. Sadness lingers in my trembling fingertips, As a love, once blooming, now forever slips. Incapable am I, to find the words so true, To tell you how my heart yearns for only you. Lost love, a bitter pill I am forced to taste, While false hope nurtures a façade I embrace. Pain dances within the chambers of my soul, As I watch love's flame exhaustively grow cold. Feigning hopes, I smile through the tears that fall, For my love for you, in silence I'll enthrall. In whispered ink I pour my heart's desire, Yet lost are the words that set my soul on fire. Like a withered rose, love's passion fades, In silent agony, I entwine my charades. Each word unspoken, a tear never wept, With trembling pen, my emotions are kept. In paper dreams, I dance with false hope, But reality's grip pulls me down like a rope. My heart aches with every unsent letter, Incapable of expressing love'...
